This week The Shrinks dig into your mailbag questions and respond to your voicemails.
On episode 54, BY and Motts recap their Combos snack-filled road trip down to Long Island to watch BY’s brother Keith Yandle play his 965 consecutive game, breaking the NHL record. An incredible accomplishment that comes with hard work, a little bit of luck and a tremendous love for the game. They discuss the time Keith was injured in Boston in 2016 and how the Yandle family thought there was no way he was playing the next day only to step on the ice and continue the steak.
Dipping into the mailbag, BY and Motts answer your questions about “how to deal with conflict on a team,” “should a kid get punished for forgetting his equipment,” “thoughts on a U8 working with a private skating coach,” and many more.
Harry from Hyde Park returns to the voicemail line and always with a crazy hockey parent story.
As well as a listener calling in to share his experience with having his goalie leave his stick in the crease and although we know now it’s considered interference, it’s also 100% going to baffle both the referees and opposing coach so might be fun to try.
The Shrinks want to shine light on Bell Let’s Talk and to focus on your mental health in general. Realize that you are not alone.
